NYC hospitals continues their poor performance on Leapfrog’s hospital safety grades list, with most earning Cs or Ds.

Healthcare providers in all five boroughs once again performed poorly in Leapfrog’s* Fall 2018 ratings for hospital safety.

More than 50% of 44 New York City facilities graded earned a C grade and only three facilities managed a B or an A. The rankings are nearly identical to the uninspiring results from Leapfrog’s spring list.

However, there were quite a few hospitals that ranked A’s and B’s in Nassau and Suffolk County Long Island:

75 N. Country Road
Port Jefferson, NY 11777-2190
200 Belle Terre Road
Port Jefferson, NY 11777-1928
100 Port Washington Boulevard
Roslyn, NY 11576-1347

*The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital rating focused exclusively on hospital safety. Its A, B, C, D or F letter grades are a quick way for consumers to choose the safest hospital to seek care.
